DESCRIPTION
- 1991 Donruss Baseball was a dual-issue set and contains 770 cards in total, with 386 in Series 1. The cards in these rack packs are only from Series 1, which feature blue borders and a red nameplate background on the card front.
- This release marked the first time Donruss issued cards in multiple series and was notable for the introduction of its Elite Series insert.
- There are multiple subsets: Diamond Kings (1-27), Rated Rookies (28-47), and AL All-Stars (48-56.) Note that NL All Stars (433-441), along with MVPs (387-412), are included with Series 2.
- There is one Rookie Card listed in the checklist for Series 1: #41 Phil Plantier.
